The smartphone maker based in China has focused on its market reach and has managed to grow its business significantly over the past couple of years. Now, the firm is beginning activities in UAE to further expand its business scope by setting up its new business there. Vivo has already introduced its premium tablet Vivo Y15 in the UAE and is scheduled to release another Y-series tablet — Vivo Y17 earlier this week. For broader viewing experience, the Vivo Y17 features a 6.35-inch LCD HD+ panel with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The water-drop notch screen arrives with an 89 percent screen-to-body proportion that makes immersive gaming practice easier.

The device is powered by an octa-core Helio P35 processor based on the TSMC 12 nm FinFET method with a peak core frequency of 2.3GHz. The device is coupled with 4 GB RAM and internal storage of 128 GB.It has a triple camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth camera in the camera department. The device can capture beautiful photos with the least effort. There is a 20 MP sensor with AI Face recognition on the front to improve the value of selfies.

The smartphone operates on Android 9.0 Pie at the top of Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9. The device comes with the Ultra Game Mode to facilitate gamers by improving performance.
